Gone with the Wind Dolls by Madame Alexander

The White Ruffle Dress

The white ruffled dress is worn by Scarlett in the opening scene of the film. On the front porch of Tara, Scarlett is talking with the Tarleton twins, Brent and Stuart. The scene was originally shot with Scarlett wearing the green-sprigged dress, but was later re shot with her dressed in white ruffles. There have been many variations of the white ruffled dress over the years.

For the longest time 1973 - 1986, this was the only dress made for the 8" dolls by the Alexander Doll Company.  Thank goodness they diversified!
