Gone with the Wind, the greatest movie of all time!
GWTW '98 Release Poster

There was a land of Cavaliers and
Cotton Fields called the Old South. . . .

Here in this patrician world the
Age of Chivalry took its last bow. . . .

Here was the last ever to be seen
of Knights and their Ladies Fair,
of Master and of Slave. . . .

Look for it only in books, for it
is no more than a dream remembered,
a Civilization gone with the wind. . . .

My Favorite Movie

The most beloved, enduring and popular film of all time, Gone With The Wind, is cinema's greatest historical epic film, boasting an immortal cast in a timeless, classic tale of a love-hate romance and war. The movie is based on Margaret Mitchell's first and only published, best-selling novel which first appeared in 1936.

I was a teenager when I went to see Gone with the Wind for the first time - in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre!  It just doesn't get any better than that.  Of course, I have seen the movie countless times since then and read the book too many times to count.  It is truly a classic - the book and the movie.  I have also collected various books written about the making of the movie.

This is a tribute to Gone With the Wind, its characters and the making of the movie.  It is also a tribute to the dolls made by the Alexander Doll Company depicting the characters from the drama.
