Cissy's legion of fans will be excited to add Laura Meisner's Equestrian Cissy to their collections. Inspired by the Fall 2002 runway couture collections, Laura Meisner- author, doll historian, and designer, has created a timeless look for Cissy the horsewoman. Ready for a ride in the country, Cissy is outfitted in a crisp white cotton shirt with a romantic frill jabot tied with a black satin ribbon, and double-tiered ruffled cuffs of cotton and lace, tied around each elbow with a white satin ribbon. A form-fitting vest worn over the blouse is made of pale rose and cream brocade lined with sea-foam green silk. The vest is secured with antiqued gold buttons that also ornament the scalloped front pockets. The back of her vest is princess seamed with three buttons across the back and an inset godet to allow for a comfortable ride. Her 1920's-style jodhpurs are khaki twill with dark caramel suede inner patches. Cissy's "leather" riding boots are black with a broad top border of brown trim and around her wrist hangs a coordinating black and brown "leather" riding crop. For a traditional, smart equestrian look, Cissy wears a black wool challis riding hat trimmed with a fine black pointe d'esprit veil that lightly shields her face and adds a hint of mystery. A classic beauty, Equestrian Cissy has dark blue eyes, a lovely olive complexion, and glossy auburn hair pulled into a chignon at the nape of her neck. Simple pearl earrings complete her look of distinction and elegance.
