Cissy, the ultimate fashion doll by Madame Alexander

Cissy 1996 - Cover Girl

Cissy was reintroduced by the Alexander Doll Company in 1996.  She appeared on the cover of the September issue of Doll Reader.
She also appeared on the Alexander Doll Company catalog cover.

The introduction in the catalog read -

In 1953, Madame Alexander introduced Cissy to the world.  Since then, Cissy has become a figure of fashion and style in the doll industry.  So influential was Cissy, the Fashion Academy awarded Madame Alexander three times with the prestigious Gold Medal award.

Now, after four and a half decades, "Cissy has come home" once again in a limited edition collection of the finest silks and woolens constructed and designed beautifully enough for a women yet made for a doll.
