Gone with the Wind
GWTW '98 Release Poster

There was a land of Cavaliers and
Cotton Fields called the Old South. . . .

Here in this patrician world the
Age of Chivalry took its last bow. . . .

Here was the last ever to be seen
of Knights and their Ladies Fair,
of Master and of Slave. . . .

Look for it only in books, for it
is no more than a dream remembered,
a Civilization gone with the wind. . . .

My Favorite Movie

The most beloved, enduring and popular film of all time, Gone With The Wind, is cinema's greatest historical epic film, boasting an immortal cast in a timeless, classic tale of a love-hate romance and war. The movie is based on Margaret Mitchell's first and only published, best-selling novel which first appeared in 1936.

This is a tribute to Gone With the Wind, its characters and the making of the movie.  It is also a tribute to the dolls made by the Alexander Doll Company depicting the characters from the drama.

Cast of the Movie

Vivien Leigh as Scarlett

Clark Gable as Rhett

Olivia de Havilland as Melanie

Leslie Howard as Ashley
