 | 1956 - 1973 New York Giants Football Games |
 | Dec 28, 1958 The Baltimore Colts beat the Giants, 24-17, in overtime for the 1958 NFL
championship. It has been called the greatest NFL game ever played. |
 | 1964 - Y.A. Tittle played his final game with the Giants in 1964 |

 | 1950's - The annual Jehovah's Witnesses convention was held at the Stadium, and drew as
many as 123,707 in a day. |
 | July 20, 1957 - The Rev. Billy Graham preached at the Stadium. |
 | Dec 12, 1957 - Cardinal Spellman celebrated Mass |
 | Oct. 4, 1965 - Pope Paul VI celebrated Mass as part of the first papal visit to North
America. |
 | Oct. 2, 1969 - Pope John Paul II preached about helping the poor during Mass on his
first visit to New York as pope. |
 | Oct. 7, 1979 - Third papal visit by Pope John Paul II. |
 | June 21, 1990 - Nelson Mandela is welcomed at the Stadium . |

 | Nov. 11, 1928 - Knute Rockne gives his Notre Dame team a stirring pep talk before its
